| Interview Assessment Notes | 1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs? He did his Bachelor’s Degree in Sri Lanka and after that joined one of the major IT companies in their country, Epic Lanka where he started as a Trainee Software Engineer then gradually moving up to the Technical Lead position in a span of about 6-7 years. He worked for them mostly in the backend side and has been handling several projects, also was a project owner for them before; they developed some mobile banking, internet banking, and ATM kiosk, middleware components to interface with ATM, mostly for some government agencies in Sri Lanka. Then, he moved to Saudi Awwal Bank as a Senior Software Engineer where he serves as a coordinator and developer at the same time for some project including a legacy T&R finance processing engine for a future proof solution. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in? Strongest skill would be handling and working on multiple projects simultaneously. He’s good with Java development in the fintech sector, mostly doing fintech solutions; he’s also familiar with GTR (Global Trade and Receivables) Finance sector projects. In terms of programming languages, he’s good with Java, Spring Boot, also recently deploying their applications in Google Anthos platform so he’s also good with cloud. 3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements? Has almost 9 years of experience in the software development industry and is well-versed with Java, Spring Boot, databases and cloud as well. He also has strong experience with the banking domain since he has been working in this industry, mostly working on core banking systems. In terms of leadership, he was previously a technical lead and currently a senior software engineer so have handled and managed teams as well. |
