| Interview Assessment Notes | 1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs? Her background is primarily in fashion, buying and merchandising; she has been doing that for about 4 years and two of those years was in merchandising and two was in buying across three different fashion brands. She got some technical skills from those jobs including product development, data analysis, and relationship management with suppliers. About a year ago, she decided to transition into tech since she enjoys coding and wants to upskill and learn SQL, databases, and data analysis in general. So she did self-study in JavaScript for about six months and got into an intensive boot camp called XXXX; she spent her time there studying JS to pass the exam and did both frontend, backend development. She also had the opportunity to do individual projects and collaborate with other aspiring developers for group projects. Currently, she’s trying to keep up with coding through her personal projects and making a wedding website for her friend. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in? Strongest skill would be JavaScript, React, and SQL. She also had experience with Restful APIs during the boot camp and did test-driven development using Node, Electron, NextJS, and such. She’s also looking forward to learning Python along the way. |
