| Interview Assessment Notes | 1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs? He has a decade of java experience, nearly 12 years. He has been a backend developer most of the time, but software engineer provides a whole solution, so he doesn’t just focus on one part of the development. When he was with XXXX before, they were handling a banking platform and he used to work with Malaysian clients. In that company they are working in an Agile methodology. He was a level one support engineer there and had a client that is a second largest government in Sri Lanka. Their project was used for over 350 branches with 10 active users per branch, and for digital banking, they have millions of users. He moved to Dubai, because he was recruited through one of his friends and had a position in XXXX. In XXXX, they are dealing with corporate ticketing. They had to deal with very complex domain model in his current company. For his tech stack, he has been using Java for almost 13 years now and Spring Frameworks for 7 years now. He is interested in Cloud Native Tech because he used to work on a huge monolithic application. He is now starting to learn Kurbenetes. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in? He specializes in Java and Spring Frameworks. He knows a little bit of Python, shell scripting, SQL and NoSQL databases. He has some knowledge in using Cloud native technologies. 3. Do you have list/s of key criteria that the client needs? If so can you tell me more? For JavaScript, he is not an expert, but in his last project, he handled a little bit of JavaScript, so he has a little knowledge in JavaScript, but more into TypeScript. According to him, it is easy to learn JavaScript since it does not have a very complex programming. He has some experience in using Next.JS and ReactJS. He has used TCP/IP in day-to-day basis. When he was in XXXX, there is a project there that they supported the entire stack including the network part. He must know these things in being a software development since there is an instance that he will deal these kinds of things. But if the issue is on a major level, that’s the time he will start calling for a network engineer to fix it. |
