Interview Assessment Notes | 1. Could you introduce yourself and tell us about you? Your current / recent jobs and employers? Previous companies and jobs? When he was doing his second Master’s, he also started his career and was doing some testing in Canada, after that, he joined XXXX where he was involved with the Design and Application Engineering for switch gear, switchboards, and similar projects; their major customer there were oil and gas companies. He also was involved with the complete designing and manufacturing side, also oversees the final testing of the design. After that, he was a Consultant Engineer for good two years and then joined XXXX as an Electrical Project Engineer where they have handled thermo-solar power plant projects for clients in Australia and India, mostly doing 250MW, 60MW, 125MW as well, he’s responsible here for the overall project side, also bridging the team with mechanical engineering automations. He was also a Senior Substation/Relay Engineer for XXXX where they designed and specified new high, medium, and low voltage substation and switchyard protection systems including advanced power system analysis and physical design of control panels, cabinets, and houses. He then moved to XXXX as a Lead Project Engineer where he was the team lead for the design, commissioning, and testing for the power delivery & process control of their projects in Brazil, Canada, and Mexico. After that, and up until now, he is doing consultancy as an engineer where he worked with variety of companies including XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX as well where he was mostly working with full P&C design package, substation design, updates, & modification, Switchyard Full P&C design, and design/commissioning for panel boards, protections, FVD drivers, and sensors. 2. What skill(s) / experience would you self-describe as strongest or specialist in? Strongest skill would be project design since he has been doing this for many years now, together with commissioning and even up to testing when the projects looks like a whole already. He also have great experience in the field of engineering since he also has strong educational and professional background in it; he’s also well-versed with project management, he’s handled lots of projects already also handling the delivery schedule and overseeing the budget as well. 3. Do you have the lists of key criteria’s according to the clients’ requirements? He completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electrical Engineering. He has experience with doing analog circuit design as well for baseband to <1 GHz during the early years of his career so for about 20+ years ago now, recently he’s more into the control side. Also knowledgeable with VLSI, ADCs, DACs, high-speed amplifiers, and sample & hold circuits since he does this a lot in his projects. Has experience with the whole product life cycle from conception to mass production, mostly their projects are analog chips. Also has some experience with digital design using RTL and Verilog since he did Electronics Power Degree before; can lead a technical team and has handled variety of team size ranging from 18-20+ people. |
